The Intervention Lead is a part-time opportunity to manage and facilitate the Dreams Academy or Queens Academy curriculum at Imagine Akron Academy and Imagine Leadership Academy. The leaders in this role will collaborate with Imagine Leadership’s Community School Leadership Team to provide assistance for out-of-classroom activities including but not limited to classroom monitoring, assistance with classwork, and any other activity that will foster positive behavior and interactions. Additionally, these leaders will administer the curriculum designed for Imagine students that is specific to their challenges, experiences, and current life realities. These roles will be approximately 20 hours a week with flexible daytime and evening hours available.
Intervention Lead Key Responsibilities
Dreams Academy Intervention Lead
- Use Socio-Emotional Learning Model, Themed Peer Mediation, and additional resources to be provided to collaboratively develop and deliver the curriculum to the participants.
- Lead the facilitation for on-site cohort of 5th and 6th Grade young men.
- Support & encourage the development of self-efficacy in the areas including but not limited to: etiquette, financial capability, and problem solving.
- Move between classrooms to monitor students and support the teachers in creating and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Manage communication between the school and the participants/families.
- Cultivate and maintain a warm and welcoming experience for all participants.
Queens Academy Intervention Lead

Qualifications
The leads for these roles will be thoroughly committed to Dreams Academy’s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, relationship management experience, and a passion for the community we serve & the mission which we support. Additionally, we are seeking the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least two years of coursework in the areas of Education, Counselling, Social Work or Psychology.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Action-oriented, adaptable, and creative in approaching challenges as they arise.
- Openness and willingness to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
- Passion, empathy, and positive attitude & habits.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct as needed.
- Sense of humor, integrity, impeccable work ethic.
- Deep sense of commitment and drive to support the community of students.
- Knowledge of Office Suite required.
- Willingness to have a background check completed
